I'll take you on a journey to consider your situation from different perspectives and look at possibilities and potentials that you may not have thought of before.
We will explore your relationships, your mental health, your community, your identity, your resources and your own natural ability to heal yourself and / or to heal the attachment between you and your child.
And why the blue fairy wren? It’s homage to my late father, who loved birds, but most importantly he taught me the value of looking at the whole picture.
No matter where you’ve come from, where you are or where you’d like to be, there is always another perspective that you’ll see from the bird's eye view.

Lucinda Pettit
I'm Lucinda Pettit, a dedicated Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Family Therapist, equipped with a solid educational background including a B.Psych (Hons-First Class) and a Master of Clinical Psychology. Holding a clinical endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), I am committed to providing effective mental health care.
My professional affiliations include being a Full Member of the EMDR Association of Australia, a Full Clinical Member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy, and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Moreover, I serve as a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor, nurturing the growth of fellow mental health practitioners.
With 23 years of rich experience, I assist individuals across all age groups (children, adolescents and adults) in overcoming mental health challenges. My expertise lies in supporting those who have faced trauma, adverse life events, anxiety, stress, parenting difficulties, and various life transitions.
I foster healing and growth not only through individual therapy but also by working collaboratively with parents and children to enhance family relationships.

My approach is rooted in creating a safe, compassionate, and warm environment where you can openly explore your experiences and emotions. My therapeutic toolbox includes the highly effective Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, along with other evidence-based modalities. I am a Foundational Theraplay Practitioner. By integrating trauma and attachment therapies, I ensure a holistic approach to healing. Together, we'll craft a personalised treatment plan, addressing the challenges you're facing and you'll be an active participant in this journey towards growth and transformation.
Beyond therapy sessions, I'm deeply committed to supporting your long-term well-being. My goal is not only to help you navigate current difficulties but also to equip you with skills that you can continue to apply independently.
